Ocean Jasper

Ocean Jasper is a rare and highly sought-after variety of jasper, a type of chalcedony. It is known for its stunning and unique appearance, characterised by circular or spherical patterns in various colours and hues, often resembling ocean waves, landscapes, or abstract art. Ocean Jasper is only found in Madagascar and is prized for its vibrant colours, intricate patterns, and attractive polish. This gemstone is often used in jewellery and decorative items.

First discovered in 1922, but location was sadly lost for almost 75 years. Rediscovered by Paul Obenich who introduced his find in 2000. Mining operations of Ocean Jasper was stopped in 2006 when the locality was deemed depleted, as well as heightened safety risks.

Spiritually, ocean jasper is considered a stone of joy, positivity, and relaxation. It is believed to bring a sense of cheerfulness and positivity into one's life. It can help uplift one's mood and promote feelings of well-being. This stone is thought to assist in emotional healing and releasing negative emotions. It is believed to help with stress, anxiety, and feelings of depression by promoting a more positive and optimistic outlook. Ocean Jasper is often associated with the solar plexus chakra and the heart chakra. It is believed to help balance and align these chakras, promoting a sense of self-worth, love, and compassion.

Copper

Cherished by artisans and jewellery makers for centuries, copper is renowned for its warmth, beauty, and natural conductivity.

Over time, the metal develops a distinct patina that reflects the unique journey of both the jewellery and its wearer, so no two pieces remain exactly alike. Some wearers cherish this rich, evolving finish, while others prefer the original shine, which can be easily restored with gentle polishing.

As with all natural metals, individual skin sensitivities may vary, and some wearers may occasionally notice a temporary green tint on the skin. This is a harmless and natural reaction between copper and the body's chemistry, and can be easily washed away.
